Re: Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai Fluorocarbon
The heavier sizes may not have issues, but the 6# and 8# that I used had to be taken off the reels after I was fed up with the knot failures. Line looks great, but its performance left a lot to be desired. That's the same experience that I was having with 20#--so many knot failures. What knot is ev...

My sister in law's husband picked up an XG for me in Japan a couple days ago--they just arrived back; so I'll be getting my hands on mine soon!

Re: Bearing cleaning in ultrasonic cleaner
Oh no, I was not aware. I will stop using ultrasonic cleaner for the bearings. Are there any other parts I should be careful of? I throw everything except the frame, side covers, and handle assembly in there. This is the ultrasonic cleaner I have: https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-MGUC500-Professio...

Re: is Daiwa tatula still the reel to get?
You can buy from Aliexpress a lot cheaper than you can get it from other sites or even here domestically.
To me, the Curado 150 MGL is above the Tatula.

Re: New Shimano Caius casting reel
You can get a Curado 150 MGL off Ali for $140...why would you buy this? The Curado 150 MGL is a far superior reel and a tank. I'm using mine for saltwater striper, halibut, and bat rays without a single issue. Casts jerkbaits and paddle tails like a rocket. I put Daiwa's ultimate tournament drag gr...

Re: Reel Dress Up Parts?
I haven't ordered any, but I've seen a lot of parts on Aliexpress as well.
They have the brake dial screws, the one long shaft that goes behind the worm gear, screws, drag stars, etc.
I've been putting Gomexus handles and drag stars on all my reels.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
The issue was that the E clip side was too short to fit through the non-handle side plate side. You could see that the worm gear teeth did not extend past 3/4 to 4/5 of the spool; so the line would just bunch up on only 3/4 of the spool--it wasn't able to travel the whole length of the front/top pla...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
I had to remove some metal off the end of the teeth towards the non-handle side.
I did order BNT4010–I’m not sure what the difference is, but I was able to find that part number from the Chronarch Ci4, which I heard was the same as BTN4010.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
So I received BNT3822 and they are very similar, but it does not fit correctly. I ended up grinding and filing down some of the shaft and was able to use some washers to get a good fit and get it to work. Unfortunately, I cut off too much so it does spool a little heavier on one side but it’s servic...

Thanks so much for this!
Would you happen to know the anti-reverse bearing part number? I'd like to grab up as many replacement parts as I can to keep these reels going!

Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
This is probably a big shot in the dark, but I'm trying to find a BTN4010 to replace the worm gear on one of my Chronarch 100D7s.
I thought I had stocked up on some...turns out they're for the Curado 200E7 and way too long.
