These two rods used to be compared all the time back when the ltb came out. I've owned old mbr imx's and ltb's, but not the spinning ltb. It's hard to even get a straight answer on the new imx I've found, so I look forward to what kind of replies come around.

I was looking at purchasing a couple of the usdm 8.1's with those badass looking brass gears and throw dream fishing 105 spools on them, but this new steez would be cheaper than going that route. That new spool looks serious, and it's 110yds of 12lb capacity seem ideal.

I'm looking at picking up the 852...I used to own an 852 bcr that was a little bad-ass. I'm a huge fan of the 1/8oz chompers rock walker jighead for beavers and such and that was the rod to throw them on. 3 1/2" tubes also.
