I recently purchased a few Daiwa SS SV 103's and noticed that the drag was very light. I should have done my homework as they are more finesse style reels. if the bearing will 'roll' slightly, while in the pocket in the side plate, that is most likely where your slop is.

also, with the a/r bearing out of the reel, insert the sleeve, and roll it around with your fingers to double check for any back play
