Re: Alphas or Sol for weightless plastics or 3/0 splitshot?
Hey Drangler, Sorry.. I didn't see your post. You must have been writing yours the same time I wrote mine. I was going to make the same suggestion as Dan. Reaction Innovation's Sweet Beaver is a great little trailer. They even make a smaller size now that I've yet to try. I've not tried any of the Y...

Re: Alphas or Sol for weightless plastics or 3/0 splitshot?
Thanks Again Cal but still one more unrelated question and the I promise to go away...for a little while that is. I recently odered the ZPI Handle and Daiwa Cork Knobs from Japan Tackle for my Alphas but I'm unsure how to change the stock handle when it comes in? Do you know if it comes with instru...

Re: Alphas or Sol for weightless plastics or 3/0 splitshot?
I've no idea what to expect from the Alphas Ito Ai to be honest - well, except for the fact that it's going to be WAY overpriced
If I had to guess though, I'd say it's still an aluminum frame, and no clicking drag. We're still debating whether or not to get one in for review.

Re: Alphas or Sol for weightless plastics or 3/0 splitshot?
COME ON CAL! Yeah.. go Bears!! :laugh1: Oh wait, you meant me, didn't you? Not sure what to say numbking. The splitshot rig is a very effective rig, no doubt, though it's no longer a technique I employ much these days. When I did fish it, my preference was to use 4" or 6" straight tail worms....

Re: Sweet Beavers?
haven't heard anything about c-rigging but I don't see why it wouldn't work KBT. They have a nice bouyancy and the ridges seem to create enough disturbance to attract attention then the flaps kinda seal the deal. At least that's how I see it.

The Ito/Type R spool does not fit in the Fuego... It's a hair small in overall diameter.

Re: Cal I got a ?
Cal I thought you guys go through these reels when you reveiw them its a pretty simple design. sorry Illini... I can't speak for all the editors, but my reviews surround primarily performance of the reels. All I can suggest is to call Shimano directly with your questions which I think you said you ...

Fyzam,
sounds like a question for Lightninrod...
Hey Dan... any opinions on this one?
ps... My recommendation would the the He69APC - it handles just like a seven footer.

Re: Need help from Tackle Tour Staff on ZPI Handle Upgrade
Hi James, Welcome to TackleTour! Yes, your septon grips from your Scorpion MG handle should fit the ZPI carbon handle provided you ordered the bearing kit as you say you did. Make sure your bearing kit comes with the two screws necessary to hold the knobs in place. The bolts from your Scorpion MG ha...
