Re: First look at Megabass Destroyer USA rods

Just got the first 4 into the shop. Slightly underwhelmed. I'll take the new GLX at this price point all day. Heavy in hand, tip heavy, and overpowered model for model. Reel seat seems wider than previous lines. That Oneten stick...what the heck. Maybe a Pointer 100 stick. Way too beefy compared to ...

Re: Tackle bag question

I've had a big yellow BPS boat bag for years, and it hasn't even blinked. I fit everything in, including lunch and rain gear etc. All zippers/handles still intact, has one interior mesh pocket in the lid. Fits all the little extras. Leave it open, dump your broken plastics/line/wrappers etc in to it...

Lightest I could find for bass baits. 8-12 has all worked well for me in the past.

Diablo Spec R, though I wouldn't consider it X Fast, it sure does do a lot of things well.

Re: pike and smallmouth fishing

Knot2Kinky guys. It's phenomenal. And I catch plenty of walleye on Rogues, ripping them over weedbeds in front of creek mouths on the French River in Northern Ontario. I never have a Megabass lure tied on without it if Pike are around. Get the 6 or 8lb, you'll barely see it.

Just watch on Fleabay you can see what stuff is going for. I don't use the word Chronarch in my searches for Curados so I have no idea.

Re: Curado "i" ... is this the end ?

I love my E's so much, but with the monstrous prices out there, it's getting hard not to sell...I could almost get two "I"s for every E. 2 Is aint worth chit compared to the Es IMO. E series was money, and nothing except the Bs have been as well liked from myself. I have 50E, XT1000, and Aldebaran ...

Re: Jackall Chan Wake

Handled the samples at the show and saw them demonstrated in a tank live. Also caught a video on an Ipad. It was actually alarmingly large in hand for a standard release/non 'swimbait' bass bait. Straight ahead retrieve, not ripped like I thought. Kind of a side to side wiggle, no real wallowing qua...

Re: New GLX rods

I've handled a few casting and spinning models in the shop from our early stock and the rep samples. These are super nice, updated, balance better than the previous models, and definitely feel like modern, light and balanced sticks with beefy American style tapers. For the guys that don't like the '...
