Tackle Trap/Pike Road Reel Service

So here’s the short version. I sent a Daiwa Luvias 2004 for a basic clean and lube. Called twice to confirm if they could work on it. Was told yes twice. The reel was in great condition since I hardly used it. I was told the turnaround time was 2 weeks. That’s fine. Sent it out. They received it on ...

Re: Drop shot

I use a Dobyns Champ Extreme 742HP with a Pixzilla. The heaviest I throw is 1/4oz and it works great. I wish Dobyns would make a 741 casting rod. That would be perfect.

My favoritest rod...

I stick with Dobyns because of their customer service and warranty. It says a lot about a company. Finding any excuse to get it out so I'll be chasing some crappies tomorrow! The 742 is the one rod I brought with me every single outing last year and it's my favorite model (until they come out with a...

Eye Surrender sunglasses

Does anybody have a pair of the ESM sunglasses from Eye Surrender? I am curious about the fit. I emailed them with no reply on the measurements: bridge and eye size and the temple length. I got a new pair of WileyX P17s and they are super tight I can't wear them, right around the temple area. On the...

Thanks. I'll just buy one. :) like you mentioned the measurements can be very subjective depending on who you ask. I'm sure it will be a great bag.

Re: Wild River Nomad backpack

Thanks man. Here’s what I can’t understand about the dimensions listed, or maybe I'm totally reading this wrong (WT3604 Nomad model): Gowildriver.com - 17"W x 18.5"H x 8.5"D Walmart – (LxWxH) 23.0 x 19.0 x 13.0 Cabelas - 18.5"H x 17"W x 8.5"D Amazon - 16.5 x 21 x 10.5 TW - 20" H x 14" W x 10" D It j...

Wild River Nomad backpack

I need a new backpack. Anybody have this bag? It seems like it has more than enough storage. I'm confused about the actual size of it. Heard reviews of "bigger than expected" etc. Four retailers I saw had four totally different size dimensions listed, all different from the size listed on the Wild R...

Re: Dobyns Champion Extreme HP video = new DX rods

I drop shot with my 742 and its pretty sweet. Also throw 3/16oz tube jigs on it. The one rod I always carry with me. Seems overkill but it works great with 7-8lb test. Sometimes though I wish they made 7'4 rod that was one power lighter, a 741 maybe?

I swear, my 745 was just sitting there, and all of a sudden it broke by itself. I guess I need to replace it.
