I make my own senkos now. Paying almost a dollar a bait was crazy! Can adjust the fall to be faster or slower and I catch just as many fish on them.
I also bought some Strike King ochos, really like their action in the water as well.

Clean Epoxy Tips
So I figured I'd ask here because you guys do great. I build probably 3-5 rods a year. On larger guides or thread pieces, usually I can get fairly clean epoxy lines. Not perfect, but pretty good. Small guides I still have issues getting clean lines, especially towards the guide ring. I currently wra...

Re: Alpha Angler blanks
I'm super curious as well.
I've been looking for a blank like their 6'10" DSR model that really loads up and allows for some bend way down into the blank. Wonder if they cut a blank down or have it made specifically for them?

Tatula 701MRB. Caught tons of fishon jerkbaits with this rod. It's perfect and won't break the bank.

Re: Catching Bass in Deep grass
Well I had a similar experience this summer but not quite the same. Was fishing submerged grass 10-12 feet. I was catching the heck out of them on a drop shot. I was throwing 6lb line and a 1/0 rebarb hook with a 6inch robo worm. It would get hung in the grass, you'd pop it free and they'd get it. I...

Is this a new reel? I can't tell if it's based off the 100 frame?

Re: Jerkbait Rod/all around Rod
You don't need to spend a lot to get an outstanding jerkbait rod. I use a daiwa tatula 701 MRB. In fact, I have 3! I've caught TONS of fish using the Shad Rap Deep Jerkbait and 100s. Why spend all that extra cash when this 90 dollar rod will crush it? I also use it for shallow cranks (Teck...

Re: G Loomis GLX vs Rainshadow ETERNITY / TESTAMENT
I think they'll be introducing the Eternity's replacement reasonably soon. I believe they mentioned they were waiting to clear out existing inventory. Another super awesome high end blank is the NFC Xray blank... Who knows how long it'll take to receive it but I've built two and theyre right up ther...

I've built several eternitys. I'd put them up there against any other high end rod

Re: Duo Realis Spin
I've used it pretty successfully. Conditions have to be right though.
If you see fish schooling, it's one of the best baits to throw IMO, can be better than a soft swimbait.

Definitely a medium powered rod. I love this rod. I have 3. I use it for jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and shallow cranks. Very versatile

Re: Vixen Question
Don't have the exact answer to your question, but the guy that made the repo man and vixen is re releasing them as 'teckel kicknocker.' Same molds, same plastic, same factory etc. Hideki Maeda.
