Bass caught today---PICS
Here is a http://www.f150online.com/galleries/pic ... &anum=3208 PIC of a 3 1/2 Bass caught with a 1/2 oz Strike King Pro Model jig and a GYCB Crawdad.
And here is another 'jig' Bass. Man, she looks bigger than 2 1/2 lbs but that's what I remember the scale showing. http://www.f150online.com/galleries/pic ... &anum=3208
And Lastly, a Fat IKA 2+ lber:

LR,
Pretty good size bass! All of them are nice bread-and-butter fish.

LR,
A little off subject, but is that Genral Lee or Longstreet on your panel?

Neither, that's General Nathan Bedford Forrest, the greatest cavalry officer ever. He led from the front; had 29 horses shot dead out from under him but he killed 30 of the enemy--one more than they got.quantum angler nt wrote:LR,

CD: You mean this http://www.f150online.com/galleries/pic ... &anum=3208 one? I can't say that I know I've caught a Bass there for sure as those "clumps" are everywhere. Those "clumps" are scattered all over most of that 10(?) acre swamp pond. They are stumps that have bushes/grasses growing out ot their tops. Yes, it's private and owned by a friend that allows me to fish there almost any time I want to.
Here are two more pics showing the stumps. Actually, they are clustered togeather more closely than these pics show. It's a "little bit of Heaven"!

Thanks(everyone's) for the kind words.

Re: Bass caught today---PICS
CD: No(except for a couple of grass carp) forage has been added since it was formed about 20 years ago. At the time, a couple of guys brought back some(?) Bass and Crappie from Lake Blackshear, GA. Since then, there has been no DNR "stocking" so it is "self-contained". Some fish may enter it via the creek that feeds into it? Every fish I catch there is returned---usually unharmed.
Btw, I have seen two 'gators in there. One is about 4-5' long and the other is 8-10' long and about 4' across her girth ! There are beaver, Canada geese(2), Wood Duck, and a couple of water-turkeys in and around there too.
