He had the same kind of cancer my wife does. No cure. Very depressing. RIP to a legend.

You're right, it is a terrible thing.
Both his wife Lesley and his mom Carol have Facebook pages, if you want to reach out.

I learned this news late a few days ago, very tough to hear. I remember when I first got into fishing, Aaron Martens was who I watched to learn drop shotting. Literally got me to order some roboworms and finesse hooks and accounted for so much of my fishing arsenal and style. I was able to use those simple tips to have hours and hours of fun and catch a lot of fish here. I hate to see anyone go that early, but I am glad he got to build a family and become such a successful angler. I always heard that Martens never took a paid sponsorship from Roboworm and just supported them out of enjoying the lures and being a good customer/fan.

I just found a pic of Aaron with my son. I thought that I lost a ton of pictures, since one of my work computers was taken out by a cyber attack. Aaron's death hit me hard, since my dad was also battling brain cancer at the same time. Luckily, my father was blessed with a rare slow growth cancer, and he's now fully recovered. I'm blessed to go salmon and steelhead fishing with my dad a little longer. My heart goes out to Aaron's family and others who have lost loved ones to cancer. If your body is giving you hints that something is not right or normal, then please get yourself checked out.

Aaron was a kind-hearted soul and an awesome tournament bass fisherman. I really appreciated him, and all the other bass pros, for taking time with the kids and fans.
