COFFEE....!

Post by goldrod » Sat Nov 13, 2021 2:36 pm

What do you like in your coffee? what kind of coffee do you like?
Typically, I dont put anything in my coffee I just drink it black however there are times when I may put a little syrup in it.

Vietnamese Robusta dripped from the Phin (great to reduce waste to a minimum, hate the Nespresso System for that) with a little oatmilk or when in Berlin with vegan condensed milk (they won’t tell me the recipe)

We have a Bunn Speed Brew coffee maker, makes a killer pot of coffee in 4 minutes. For those who aren’t familiar, Bunn makes the commercial coffee makers you see in diners and such. Just a plain simple overbuilt no frills coffee maker.

No one ever tried coffee (or espresso) from a Nespresso machine? I love mine, just drink it black or froth milk and add a little sugar. I really suggest those machines, they are true espresso machines and work under fair PSI's to make it (some fake espresso machines do not use high pressure steam).

In A home I make coffee by Bodum french press, I doesn't filter grease, and it's good in my opinion.
https://www.bodum.com/fi/en/coffee/coff ... P4EALw_wcB
It's a good coffee maker which quality and price I like.

It need's coarse grind and I used to grind my own, but mine Wilfa grinder broke and after that I have bought ground coffee from market. Luckily Arvid Nordqvist Franskrost Is avalable enough coarse grind, so I have used it:

But what I blend to coffee...Usually nothing. Sometimes cream, if I have opened can.

When buying coffee from cafeteria, then I prefer 'special' coffees, like Cappuccino. Only if I have really bad headache because of bad withdrawal symptoms of coffee, I might buy standard coffee. And because probably it is bad, it should be improved by cream or at least with milk and sugar.

I’m partial to dark roasts but I’m not a fan of this. I wouldn’t say I’m a strong coffee fan but a good body is required, no thin, weak stuff. I HATE when diners or coffee shops double run water through the grinds to save money.

I don't drink coffee often so, I do a "dessert" type drink most times. I cannot do black coffee...too strong of taste for me. I do like coffee flavored stuff like tiramisu and such.

I would rarely drink coffee too, a couple cups a year, like holidays. Then I started drinking those “sugar rocket” vanilla lattes. Probably 15 years I’ve been a coffee drinker, from age 45.

Rules of coffee …. If it has whipped cream/caramel or chocolate drizzles in it, it’s NOT coffee it’s dessert.
