I Now Pronounce You Rod and Reel

Post by mhood » Wed May 25, 2005 3:18 pm

Marc is pleased to announce the blessed union of Elese and Pixy Hood. The handsome couple were married in a simple civil ceremony at Lake Leon, Texas yesterday that concluded with those immortal words, "I now pronounce you Rod and Reel...you may string the bride."

The groom, Elese (dressed in an elaborate Megabass rod sock) and the blushing bride Pixy (wearing a basic black Shimano reel cover with Velcro straps) are on honeymoon at Marc's Rod Rack in the bedroom until this weekend when they both begin their new job of catching fish many times the couple's combined weight of 9.6 ounces.

The bride's gift list is being kept at your local tackle dealer and includes LuckyCraft, Yozuri and Megabass lures from 1/16 - 1/4 ounce. Pixy has also made a special request of a pack of 4" Senkos from her Uncle Dan (LR). Many thanks to Jun-san (Japantackle.com) for fitting Pixy's stunning ZPI Carbon Handle and her matching cork knobs. Additional thanks to Jun for transportation arrangements from Pixy's home on a dusty shelf at Daiwa's Japan warehouse to Lake Leon for the ceremony.

OMG, this is one of the funniest posts I´ve ever read Marc !!! :big grin: . No that´s what I call a ROYAL WEDDING. \:D/

This can only happen in the "Enthusist" corner. :silly:

There´s going to be a another wedding in the near future, I want to marry a custom TDZ with an Evoluzion rod, now I only have to choose the right groom. #-o

You've got to watch out for Cal! Pixy and Elese haven't been married a week yet and Cal's already trying to talk me in to pimping Pixy out to some medium heavy 7 foot stud for a little adulterous pitching action!!!!

I saw one like that on the Avail site. Please let me know how it goes for you and where you source the TD-Z line guide because I agree, it looks gr8!! There's nothing vain about Pixy wanting a nose job is there?

They make a gorgeous couple! Great story Mhood, that was some funny stuff.

Now I understand what the handles and knob upgrades provide, but what does the line guide upgrade do? Is it just a color change or is it a material that somehow improves performance?

megabassusa.com

The Elese is the lightest rod in their Destroyer series. Honestly, they are more of a work of art than a fishing pole
