I use that rod as a deep water casting jig/10" worm rod. It is the only non-custom rod in my arsenal. I picked mine up at cost when they were new many years ago. I have gotten my money out of it. I've caught many of 7 to 9lb. fish in a hurry with that rod because it is so powerful. That style reel seat is one of my favorites. I put 7.3 gears in an OG 6.3 Zillion to have a fast ratio reel with gold that matches that rod. The chameleon paint is worth at least an extra $1. :)

I've had mine, 2005 model year, since release. It's the ultimate utility rod.

Did Megabass only make 50 each of the Monoblock Racing Condition HG68? This one is beat up and the price seems aspirational.

If anyone is looking for a Personal Order: http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/c642351801 . Not sure about the price, but they seem pretty hard to find.
