Blind Hog Seeks Acorn

Post by mhood » Thu Sep 01, 2005 8:21 pm

My wallet is feeling a little sick to its stomach lately...I think it's gonna throw up a credit card for a Megabass rod to go with my Shimano DC 200. I'm torn between two models: The F4-68X Jabberwock (Regular, ¼-3/4 oz., 8-20 lbs.) and the F4-610XDti Elseil (Regular, 1/4-3/4 oz., 8-20 lbs.).

I've never held or seen either, but maybe one of you have? What is it about the Elseil that makes it worth the extra $100? Don't tell me the Elseil blank is a shade of baby puke green...looks are important to my feminine side and the steel gray Jabberwock blank is much more my speed. I allready feel a little weird buying a 4oz rod to go with a 9oz reel. Shall I flip a coin or does anyone have any insights?

Just going by looks I have to agree with you that the Jabberwock is the better looking rod!
