I can't say how much I love this spool. I've been running it in my Alphas CT for a bit now and love how good it is for short range fishing. For what it's worth, I used to own an Air Stream Custom but sold it because the CT with that spool suited my style of fishing better. With the factory bearings flushed and oiled with TSI 321, I can throw 1.5g Z-Vibers without issue. I've been using 8lb J-braid and primarily fishing for trout but also perch and crappies in between and it has performed beyond my expectations. If you look around, you can find them for ~$100, sometimes less.

It isn't the lightest, but also not the heaviest. Seems to be about in line with the Alphas Air spool as far as weight goes.
