ID this Alphas

Post by LowRange » Fri May 21, 2021 9:33 am

It's a strange one. Looks like a sunburst paint from a Zonda or Lauda but has Daiwa markings on the side plates. I imagine it is a mix of parts but what side plates are those from? Some sort of bay jigging Alphas?

Could be painted over as the white Daiwa logo looks "under" some other paint.

Looks like a painted Alphas SV 105 to me.

Yep, seems to be the SV 105P(5.8:1), assuming the line guide is stock. Some of the OG members here might remember the "limited edition" Alphas Type F reels that were painted orange and burgundy. The paintjob was terrible h chipped away easily, and you could clearly see the waterslide decals under the paint.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Makes sense. Just a repaint ombre frame and side plates going for the Lauda Sunburst vibe.
