Nice snag! Should pair well with the CT. I've got the original and it is a wonderful rod. I know there are cosmetic differences and a different reel seat but I'm not sure about the blank or anything else.

I have the original with a Steez CT and 8lb Sniper. It is fantastic for throwing 4" weightless Senko's. It's as sensitive as they come. Have fun with it!

Handle design is a bit different and some cosmetics on the blanks differ, but I’m pretty sure the blanks are the same. Had both, but only kept the 2015 version till present day. In hind site, I liked the aesthetics of the original handle and beveled cork better, but found the more conventional reel seat on the ‘15 a bit more comfortable. Both equally great in my book. Enjoy it.

Thank you everyone! i think the 2015 version with the purple accents will pair nicely with my 8.0 ct steez which also has purple details on the reel.

Should be a great combo! What techniques do you guys use the Super Eiger for (besides the 4” senko mentioned above)? I assume it could handle shakey heads/small t-rigs, finesse jigs, and 2.8 Keitechs well??

I use mine for a ton of different light applications. It’s a super versatile rod and handles hard baits as well as it does soft plastics/jigs

So far it has been my jerkbait rod for these cold fronts in the midwest. It casts 110s really well, I love how sensitive it is and not to whimpy even when working the vision 110.

That is good to know. I would have thought a 110 might have been a little too much based on the ratings.

Still have mine 1st gen with the stealth reel seat. Techniques i use are 110 jr/light line, the smaller dark sleepers, neds, mega bass screw head with there spark shads and drop shot. Anything Texas with heavier hook I will use braid

I'll be the oddball out here. I have the 1st version, and I would never fish a 110 on it. Too taxing on the rod imo. I will throw 3/8 oz jerkbaits on it in a pinch though. I stick with 1/8 oz jigs/trailers, same weight wacky head with 4-6 inch finesse worms, small tubes and underspins - roughly 3/16 oz, and quarter ounce poppers.
