What's a clean Blue Emblem worth?

I'm eyeing a reel that has a BE spool in it. I would just part it out to break even or make a few bucks. The reel would be $380 tmd. This seem like a worthwhile venture? No box obviously. The reel has a few color parts but is otherwise not worth much by itself.

I’ve seen them from $400-240

No box or papers closer to $175-225 in my opinion. A few years ago it was hard to find one for less than $300. I have 5 or 6 and the last 3 I bought were $225 or less on the jdm auctions. It’s been a while since I shopped for them though so my numbers might be off. New in box is $300+. If you don’t own one, or haven’t tried one I’d definitely give it a shot before getting rid of it. Either way good luck.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to consider this reel then. I hear Teal likes to pitch and pitch skip with his. I've got an old 711X fast shootin special on the way and plan on getting TDZ 105HL as a pitching reel. This could be a nice spool to use in that reel vs my Type R+ spool.
