Steez Racing Design RIP?
Steez Racing Design RIP?
It appears these have been removed from the Daiwa 2022 website and the focus has been on standard Steez models now.
Thoughts?
Been a line of rods I’ve loved and I’m concerned Daiwa might abandon the RD-tier since the Steez AGS have been so popular instead.

Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
I just had one delivered to my door today.
Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
I still can’t believe they never did a RD Bottom Contact model or the 76MML spinning with as popular as those two models are in the AGS. Maybe we will be surprised yet but they’re already listing all the other new product debuts out through June.

Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
Thank you Alain for providing info on this rod. It helped me decide on getting this rod. My lakes and rivers are frozen, and we just go another 8" of snow.
The lure rating is the same as the Steez AGS Universal Light. Daiwa suggests the Shallow Cover Finesse was designed for Snagless Neko Rig / Neko Rig / Wacky Rig / Small Rubber Jig / Down Shot Rig / No Sinker Rig. It has a very crisp feeling, and will be great for light bottom contact lures.

That’s great, Kurt! I know they’re not so easily sourced, I’m sure you’ll be happy with it based on our short email exchange.
Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
I have a decent amount of the RD Series, I just bought this one two weeks ago imagine my dismay when I placed a order for another model yesterday and this morning I was notified they were discontinued, I was told however that they will come back, hopefully thats true, besides my Black Raven Extreme these are the only rods I reach for now.

Did someone here get that last 610ML+ from JDM Tackle Heaven a couple of days ago?? They are now sold out. I had my eye on it but couldn’t pull the trigger…...
Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
I tried the to get the same one two days ago so I could have two of them, I was told it had just sold the day before.

Re: Steez Racing Design RIP?
I'm sorry to hear that Pat. Their Steez RD inventory probably sold quickly, after the news of this series being discontinued.
They cancelled my order for that other rod I wanted.
