Conquest 905c in a pinch

Post by PotatoLake » Sun Oct 02, 2022 11:54 am

Hello there. Just curious, in a pinch could the 905 handle a mega square bill like a Deps Evoke 4.0, 2 oz.? I have a 843 GLX, and from time to time I’ll put a 1.5 sized squarebill and feel comfortable I won’t lose fish. What do you think, 905 too stout?

I frequently use the 905c for strike king 4.0 and 8.0 as well as 2- 3 oz swim baits and it handles them fine. The entire conquest line excels when there is some bend in the rod . The upper limit of the 905 is closer to 2.5 oz to be honest.

That's good to know, thank you, I just picked one up, but I have not been able to get out on the water. I'm hoping we get one last warm spell so I can use some of these mentioned lures. Thanks for the reply.
