Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
I have both the Luxxe Zephyros B65M-R and the Luxxe Efreet B67M-R casting rods. What would you like to know regarding these excellent JDM rods?

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
I am contemplating getting one for topwater or\and jerk baits in 1\4 to 3\8 range.
Just wanted to hear overall impression, are they worth it? I could not find any information from real people using them.

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
I throw a lot of 1/4oz Megabass X-Nanahans, 3/8oz LC Pointers, and 3/8oz DUO Realis Rozante 77SPs, for smallmouth bass and for my money; my preference when presenting these jerkbaits is the Evergreen Orion Lightning Strike OCSC-67ML+ which is a fantastic casting rod for this purpose.
The best casting rods I own for presenting these "finesse" jerkbaits are the out-of-production Daiwa Steez Racing Design RD610ML+FB, but of the attainable non-custom JDM casting rods still in production, the EG Orion Lightning Strike has been exemplary this season and will serve you well in this function.
In addition, the EG Orion Lighting Strike presents my 1/4oz Megabass Pop-X and 3/8oz DUO Realis Popper 64s very well indeed, perhaps only second to my Sedition SDC-605MMR-FTW Bloodys, but that's comparing a mass-production JDM casting rod to a custom JDM rod so I'm uncertain it's a fair comparison for either rod.
Lastly, I use my Luxxe Efreet B67M-R for presenting "finesse" JDM spinnerbaits such as the 1/4 OSP High Pitcher, 1/4 Megabass SV-3, and my favorite; the 1/4 Bottom Up Chibeeble. The rod does a great job of casting, retrieving, and fighting fish on these small spinnerbaits. The only rods I own that are better are my two custom Sedition SDC-605MMR-FTW Bloody casting rods, but they are extremely hard to come by (and quite expensive) so my recommendation is to purchase the Luxxe Efreet B67M-R for this purpose.
Please feel free to send me a PM if you want to see comparison pictures of the Luxxe Efreet and the EG Orion Lightning Strike or if you have any specific questions or concerns about any of the rods I have mentioned in this post.
Please have a great day!

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
looking at RF vs F actions for Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros.
Any idea what is Fast would be in comparison to Loomis fast? Is RF would be more like traditional regular?
Thank you.

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
Does anyone have any idea what is the action of Luxxe Zephyros B68ML-RF? I am not sure I understand what RF( I assume it is regular fast?) means?

Re: Gamakatsu Luxxe Zephyros
JDM regular taper is similar to a moderate fast. Regular fast is similar to fast. Keep in mind that JDM rods will typically flex further down the blank before shutting off. This also allows baits to load better on the cast. Typically more versatile in nature.
