Daiwa Millionaire CT SV max casting weight.

Post by Lures84 » Thu Nov 17, 2022 5:56 am

Good day to you all and hello from the United Kingdom. I am a keen lure angler who targets European Perch Pike Zander and Chub. I was hoping someone may be able to tell me what the maximum safe casting weight is for a Daiwa Millionaire CT SV, I have just got a new medium weight rod 7g-21g. I would like to know if the millionaire will handle the upper limits, rigs will be mainly jigs and Texas rigs with creature baits.

I don't have Millionaire CT, but I have Alphas CT. CT Means Compact & Tough. And Millionaire should be tougher than Alphas.

I don't see any limit how heavy can be cast with Alphas CT. Only limit is limited line capacity. Lastly I casted Buster Baby Jerk's with it and It performed great. I think line of 30 mm / CT sized reel can be cast out with heavy lure much before than reel has any other issues with lure weight.

21 gram is not a problem.
