2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle
2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle
Interesting preview of what might come with the 2023 Kaleidos. Interesting read too about latest carbon materials discussed on other threads here. Might need to use the translate feature if it does not pop up in your language of choice initially.

What's so interesting other than him repeating how good the new high modus high carbon technology of m40x is over and over?

I hate blank marketing. Its always this new graphite is the best graphite because its the best.

Not sure what browser everyone is using but some parts of the translation on mine were . Sounds like a must have

FWIW toray T1100G and M40X is indeed the best graphite on the planet, at least for now.Firstoutfisher wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 9:12 pmI hate blank marketing. Its always this new graphite is the best graphite because its the best.
The application of those materials are different though among rod makers and even different models in the same lineup. most of the brands do not disclose any further details, I think EG is the only one that actually gives quite a bit of story how they leverage various materials.
Re: 2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle
I did see the Super Stallion RS refresh with the full M40X treatment is coming, I think that would be more of interest to most of the bass market. Most of these short ML/M/MH rods are pretty JDM technique-centric.
Re: 2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle
I guess I should have been clearer when I posted this. This short gazelle rod is clearly not going to be my next go to punching grass here in FL. I just thought it was cool how long this rod has been in development and I was assuming some of the tech and aesthetics would carry over to the other more meaningful to us models. As far as not liking to read about graphite in rod descriptions. This is a rod enthusiast page. What else is as important? You got one manufacturer among dozens that actually explains how they layer the rod with the lastest tech. No other rod manufacturer says anything other than maybe the materials used in the fine print. Again, this is the enthusiast thread I thought
Re: 2023 Kaleidos—the war gazelle
I’m with you. If I’m ordering any JDM rod sight unseen the more info the better and Evergreen is one of the gold standards for knowing what I’m getting into (or passing on) as far as I’m concerned.
Based on the limited M40X rods so far I’m looking forward to a lot of the obvious JDM upgrades to come from the other manufactures as well… and yes I’d like to know when Toray M55X starts getting into the lineups too.

I agree with Cranky, it’s always helpful to know about graphite a rod manufacturer uses. This is why I stopped buying Megabass rods, bc who knows what material they utilize in rods made in China or Vietnam.

I like blank talk, I like the name, I need a short rod for cover scat and close quarters/tight area bank fishing.
