The listed price is 40000 yen. I assume the real street price is about 35000

I think I'm excited. I'm kind of pondering the Kirisame Bait Finesse. Slap my Millionaire on it with 8lb flouro.

I do many trips a summer to a local river that is clear and full of smallmouth. I wade the river for miles sometimes and swim from rock shelf to rock shelf, taking one rod when going old school fishing like I'm still a kid. Generally I fish the 110 JR and ned rig to keep it simple while swimming and fishing. This rod looks like it would be excellent at both applications. Anyone have thoughts on those 2 techniques with this rod?

Organic? Great finally a rod free of herbicides, pesticides, non-gmo and grass fed. Been looking for this all of my life

This news was likely greeted with a massive collective eyeroll from all the other JDM rod makers. Classic Ito.

Yeah but the Japanese are autistic enough to make it work. Carrot srick was like "lol ok u want a rod made from carrots?" *rod breaks in half*

They discovered what whisky was a few years back and now produce the best in the world. We gave them a few of the worst pre WW2 aircraft because we noticed they didn't have airplanes. They reverse engineered it and made the Zero. A fighter that had an incredible airframe and wing design that normally would take decades of incremental development they made from studying something they had little to no prior knowledge. When they want to make a thing then they make a thing and it's usually very good.

Shimano is using „biofibre“ for European marketed rods since what feels like forever. Easily 15 years. The info box in the catalog says it’s made from plants and adds shock resistance, lifting power and overall rigidity that makes lighter blanks. So pretty much the same like any other blank technology with a fancy name :D

Really excited about the 2023 BFS offerings. This is something new in the Orochi line and the rods/specs look good.
Does anyone know when these will be available?
