Weather couldn’t have been more perfect over the Christmas weekend, and the big reds were on the shallow mud flats ready to bite. Started off catching several with the 110sr, but once I started throwing Topwater that was it. 10-20lb fish blowing up in 1-2’, looking like torpedos popping up behind my Sammy before the bomb goes off. Definitely gets the heart racing! Caught on custom Conquest 842c/Stile SS combos.

Fun trip to the river marsh yesterday testing out some new patterns, and these big reds were crushing the custom 110 in some shallow, muddy water. Bites were violent, thumping it hard and then running right through it throwing a lot of slack in the line. Even got to catch a few on Topwater at the end of the day. Caught on custom Conquest 842/Aldebaran 51mg w/7.7:1 brass gear swap.

This time of the year is so special. Beating the bank makes the crazy go away.
