My trashzillion. Stole the SV spool, short crank shaft, spool tension knob , knobs with handle and drag star off it. Put a tatula crank shaft, fuego CT handle, plastic short arm star and a T3 MX spool. My Amo spools work with it too which is nice. All in for $100 on the reel and took probably $80+ worth of parts off it. Maybe got $40 in this reel net as seen. Tempted to steal the thumb bar and gold twing off it too. Paint on these "zillions" is really poor too. Scratches very easily and has bubbling and peeling issues. The reel is about as smooth as my Type R tat but slightly noiser to what I assume is the zaion side plate.

My newest reel. Always wanted one of these. Got this guy to replace a Zonda Rosso with MB BFS spool. I can sell that one and come out ahead financially and still have a reel I can fish. Been to terrified of the Zonda to fish it more than a few outings. These TD-Z Itos seem to weather a bit better to actual use. Just got to ditch the ZPI spool for a BFS one and I'm set. Rod is a solid tip UL Jackson Super Trickster.

That is a good looking TD Zillion. How close is the paint to the color of the SV103? I've got a few 7.1 TD Zillions left in the rotation. I will sometimes put my 100M spool in them.

Thanks! It just a hair lighter. The painted reel is on top and the bottom is the SV103. Both have subtle flake

Thanks for the pics. I like both colors. The SV103 looks really dark until you get them in the sun. The three that I have look good when they are on the deck of my boat. :D I wish that I had a few in 7.1 ratio. :crying:

Dipping my toes into some BFS this year. Alphas SV TW with spacers for an RCS 700 shallow spool and drag clicker kit.

My plastic door stop carbon wedge project. I hit the Zaion star and knobs with a wet scotch brite pad to give them a satin finish to match the reel and threw on a junk carbon handle to snap the pic. It will be getting a carbon fiber handle with red knob posts, a red lock plate and gunmetal nut. Spool is from a Zillion TW SV. Rod is a sub $200 M+ solid tip stick that seems like it could be a poor man's version of that solid tip $700 Steez Racing Design MH. This Jackall M+ is really close to a true MH.

2 things on that T3.

Can I remove that purple plate or is that functional in some capacity?

I want the BPM on the lock nut to line up and be centered when the nut is tightened against the reel foot. What is the best way to shim this?
