Sol with the MB Zonda BF Spool

Post by Tokugawa » Sun Mar 03, 2013 2:13 pm

I figured I'd post this prior to putting some line on it. This Solzilla has a new spool, Carbontex, a 4BB TD-Z 103 handle and RCS corks. Weight is 6.9oz. All it needs is a levelwind bearing upgrade. Maybe next spring. :big grin:

And now on the rod. The combo is 10.4 oz total.

Thanks for looking!

Sexy as hell, that is for sure!

I say it all the time. I am kicking myself for letting my Sol go.

Looks great Toku. I was glad you bought that spool cause the monkey was screaming at me when I saw it. I'm going to have to try one of the spools some day.

Maybe if I'd bought the spool the monkey wouldn't have been quite so loud when I saw that reel. So really I got into trouble because I didn't buy the spool. At least that's how I think it works. You can only resist so long, in the end the monkey always wins.

I was very close to buying that spool for the Alphas R before I sold it. This has me second guessing myself. Sweet looking combo for sure.
