Megabass Hyuga
Megabass Hyuga
I picked this up through Jpangler. It's the 6'6" ML regular action rod. Sorry the picture isn't better.

Sweet purple lol.. That would pair up nicely with the Aurora Limited
Re: Megabass Hyuga
Looks nice, but can you downsize the photo a little?
Re: Megabass Hyuga
Thanks. I tried resizing and added another. You'll have to let me know if it's better. I'm on my phone.

Please tell us your feeling about that pretty rod fishing
Re: Megabass Hyuga
How do you like the rod ?
Re: Megabass Hyuga
The build quality is really nice. It's purple to the first guide. After that the blank is unsanded. I haven't been able to fish it. I'm in the process of moving. I took it out of the tube, looked at it, and took a few pictures. I packed it back up, so it'll be a couple months before I use it.
It's marked as a limited model. I thought maybe, because it was cheaper than the XX rods they'd regularly produce them as well. It didn't come with a rod sock. It came with a couple nice velcro straps to bundle it together with other rods. It's marketed as designed for shore fishing.
On a side note. I have to say UPS was great shipping this rod. It's the first rod I've ordered from overseas. I had seen and heard horror stories of broken rods. I ordered the rod on a Tuesday afternoon. I got notification it shipped while I was sleeping Wednesday night. It was delivered Friday before noon to my house in Kansas.
Sorry I can't give some insight into actual performance right now. I wish I had more time to fish now, so I could.

Do you know what kind of guides are on it ? They micros or full size ?
Re: Megabass Hyuga
I can't remember for sure. The description on the Megabass website says small size guides. I might unpack it out and look sometime. I'm out of town right now though.the hooligan wrote:Do you know what kind of guides are on it ? They micros or full size ?
