All I did was buy it sight unseen and put a handle on it. It was done by MCK customs and I had seen his earlier work so when an urban camo IS73 was listed for $275 no spool no handle with pics that wouldnt load I snatched it up.

If I ever want to sell it I'll PM you 1st. Never got that TDZ Ito with the violet ZPI spool btw. Seller never shipped and FB MP canceled my order.

Is the frame done with the gloss black or the graphite black?

Great looking reels everybody. Who do you all use to paint them? I have a Sol I'd like to have repainted in Brazen Orange Metallic like my old '06 GTO. That color was something else and it would look sweet on a Sol.

The person who painted my reels is no longer available unfortunately. You should look to see if their are any Cerakote shops in your area. I found one where I live, and they said game on. The guy who painted Hobies reel also works in the Cerakote business. He's got talent for sure. Cerakote is also thinner and harder than any paint.

What would you consider to be a reasonable price to have a reel painted?
I know when Mr. Calfish was painting them I felt the price was a good price.
I’ve reached out to some painters by trade who are dabbing into painting reels and their prices is like paying for a child’s college tuition.

I wish I had gotten more reels painted back when it was common but I was late to the party.

Ryan Sagisi (Sagisi Customs) is a "master" of Cerakote work. Have spent some time with him, watching him work as well as looking at many of his "works of art". You would be extremely happy with any work he would do.
