My newest purple thing. Its a Tatula HD Custon with purple dial, level wind cap and spool tension knob. I have purple Prorex 200 spool coming and am trying to track down the new Prorex XR 300 TWS knobs. Going for a cheap Zillion TW HD vibes here. Fixed inductor spool, 153 spool, Rays 200 spool, black frame screws and purple parts. Going to get Blazon frame too and swap parts over.

More purple and my 1st St Croix rod. The XF taper seems nice and I got it to skip light plastics under docks. Build quality is horrific though I bet it fishes nice and should be above average sensitive for the $ from what I hear. St Croix, would it kill ya to learn what a winding check is It? A consealed thread lock nut? Also why is it purple? I like purple but normal every Bubba doesn't. How did this series survive this long being purple? They must fish well. It was free thanks to a BPS gift card. Got $20 off too for a rod trade in.

Here’s some of my Purple......and green....and gold....and blue....kinda looks like an seizure would feel, I reckon... :-k  \:D/
That anno finish has convinced me. I will own an splash anno Alphas. Gorgeous. Takes me back to me paintball days lasting after fade and splash anno markers in the early 2000s.

Actually I'm glad St. Croix didn't use winding checks between the grips on the Mojo. They use threading in place of a winding check and layer it in such a way as to follow the taper of the cork. This means I can heat shrink the handle and produce a look that should be very close to a Legend Extreme.

This thing again with new knobs and ready for warmer water. Still stuck throwing cold water baits. I threw the vatilion in 41 degree water and it just bobded to the surface affer every crank and wakes. A bit too cold for it I guess.

Wow man. Can't believe I didn't realize this before haha. Probably cheaper than quality cork they needed to keep price point under $700, tough to do with AGS guides. Just coat shitty cork with something.

My 1st attempt failed because I bought thick velvety shrink wrap that only does a 1.75 x in shrink and I bought way too big and way too small. The new stuff I got does a 4x shrink and is a thinner material. I'll use the good stuff on grips of other rods and try my new cheap 4x shrink stuff on the Mojo to make a poor man's Legend Elite handle.

Nice SS SV105. Is that one of the aliexpress diawa drag stars? Looks like a decent match for daiwa purple?

Yes that is the one. But there is a catch... I have ordered twice this stardrag and the 1st time I got this color of deep purple but second time ordered I received a different kind of purple (the light one in the tatula).

I see that when looking at the reviews on ali. I did find a Gomexus 6 point drag star that looks like it is Daiwa purple.

Now I will say that is a fine looking SS/SV other than that tribal spider tattoo on it!!! Seems we both have a Tatula DNA hidden in our SS/SV's. The Shimano knobs you are using do look far superior. I only have 4 reels left with those Tatula style knobs, the SS/SV will be first to get an upgrade...

Totally agree.. lol !! I'm trying to get ahold of a purple (deep purple) cast control knob to pair with it but no luck so far. will change back to the original one from the SV105 meanwhile.
