How about control and consistency Homeskillet? Which spool can you run the brake dial at lower numbers? And which spool for quarter ounce. I've found the 34mm Neo to be a Jack of all trades. Was hoping this would be the same.4g63power wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 5:16 pmPlayed around with ktf neo a couple of times this week and my quick take on it. In Alphas it's now similar to steez ct/alphas ct, of course a bit faster and quicker. I can get slight more distance with neo with something like 1/3 oz lipless same line/same rod. For lures around 1/2 oz total weight, i think the stock spool is fine. It's an expensive upgrade for not a significant gain but the reel itself can be had for relatively cheap (and very good for its price) so it's somewhat easy to justify it if you want to throw lighter stuff more comfortably.

Alphas ct/steez ct are hard to beat when dialed in on the right rod for lighter stuff. I don't own 34mm ktf neo so I'm in no position to assure you how good your neo spool is

You're killing me here man. Why you keep trying to get me to buy a Steez CT . So which spool do you prefer for versatility? Stock or Neo. Yes I know the cost of the spool probably isn't worth the return in performance, but me no care.
Re: Alphas Appreciation Thread
Obviously Neo. Don't get me wrong, stock spool casts great but i bought the reel wanting to use it for certain lures paired on a certain rod and turns out it wasn't right for it. Just buy another alphas ct and call it a day lol but hard to pick up og alphas after using the new alphatoola.

My PBJ alphas ct. Alphas ct is probably my most satisfying reel purchase, awesome performer for the money.

Ok I’ll play since I’m iced in and don’t have anything to do…

That 30 miller looks great on the speed style. I thought about doing that same combo but am moving my money away from BFS and just playing with what I already got.
Re: Alphas Appreciation Thread
Thanks! That speedstyle is actually the 6’8” medhvy, I use it for flukes primarily. The CT is the only one left in my rotation, the rest are just boxed up for collection purposes…

Hey Kitchens, is that the CT you got from me?
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
