That's brutal, man!. When its 95* and up here in the summer, we drag frogs across mats all day and watch the depth charges go off repeatedly! I use the FX Customs 6-10 Hvy as my frog rod. Overall weight and balance is excellent and the rod truly has enough backbone and tip for frogs. It makes a great jig rod, too. Oh, and it's strong as heck, too.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

We've been hitting low hundreds here and I wait till the sun drops but have to time it cause the mosquitoes come out shortly after

It’s a lot easier to fish topwater with a shorter rod.

The only thing we have going for us in the summer is no bugs, and mountains close by, but they do have mosquitos. They broke an all time record with 104 degrees at my family’s house in mile high Idyllwild yesterday. Our creek is dry🥲

I’ll try to get you some this week. They suck when I am holding the fish with one hand and the phone with the other. I don’t like to put them on the grass when it’s still 100 around midnight.

This is the poor type of photo that I am talking about :( This fish from last night is postspawn skinny like most of the fish this time of year. It was about 5 pounds when I caught it in the prespawn. It's not much over 4 now. It was close to 100 degrees at 11 pm when I caught it. I'm not into the GoPro thing. The GoPro might be a little better footage, but I don't really care for the footage when you are wearing one. The footage is a little better when it is attached to a boat.
