Green jerkbait rig
Green jerkbait rig
Steez LTD with FX-68 1010 spool on a Levante Jerkbait special. With a 110 style bait it can almost cast all the 10# flouro off the spool. Really lets jerkbaits fly.

Re: Green jerkbait rig
That's really gorgeous.
Re: Green jerkbait rig
Thanks I really want to test it out tomorrow but I only have a hour of day light after work so that means Kayak fishing and that mean no high end gear allowed. Next year though. Next year it's getting broken in.

That's a sweet combo. I've gotten to the point where I prefer only having a few yards of line on a shallower spool at the end of a long cast. I use an improved clinch on my spool knot and a piece of scotch tape to keep the knot from cutting my thumb when I get to the bottom of the spool. It is extremely rare that a freshwater fish is going to take the last bit of line at the end of a long cast.

I swear I've seen this before
Re: Green jerkbait rig
I saw it in the Levante thread

I had to raise that one from the dead. Got buried when the rods got taken off the market and revamped. Also the colors in the offical pictures of that rod are confusing af. Is the lock nut pink or gunmetal? How green is the green? It's a pretty normal green rod with gunmetal and carbon accents in person.
Re: Green jerkbait rig
In either case the set up is t*tties
