Hey guys, anyone fishing a Daiwa Back Bay spinning rod for inshore species? Curious your thoughts on the newer sticks.

I've had the 4000 for over a year. It's very nice, smooth and strong. IMHO, the only drawback is the line capacity... wish it held a bit more for those times when a brute hits.

I was referring to the rod actually but the reels look nice too. Ended up grabbing the 7-1 M F and its a nice stick. I also grabbed a new Shimano Teramar XX SW. Shocked more people haven't mentioned these. Incredible sticks!

I’ve got the 7’6 M and agree this rod is so under rated. Nice soft tip to keep fish pinned on well but transitions to a crazy backbone. I got mine to match my 3000 Saltist back bay for bay bass on the west coast and it is my go to rod to throw everything from Ned rigs to 4 inch Swimbaits
