Charleston SW fishing?

Wondering if anyone might have some info they can share on publicly accessible water (from shore) in the area, as well as any local bait/tackle retailers, and what might be in the area the first week of June? Staying in the West Ashley area

I visited Charleston a few years ago, there is not much from shore, also they have a 6-8 ft tide swing from high to low, what I would recommend is to take a a guided inshore trip, we did a guide trip on a high tide, sight fishing for tailing reds in the grass, caught so many 2-5 lb redfish we lost count, it costs more, but to me its worth it to make a lifetime memory, good luck and have fun!
