Also, could you locate the Daiwa part number for either the old Lexa or new Tatula 300 based Prorex xr 300 handle with knobs or just the knobs? I really want those purple knobs but no luck on even locating schematics of these reels.
Anyone tried DIY spools? $29-$40 BFS spools!

Thanks - it seems so that I have much spool options for my 200 HD :-D Reel I haven't used many times, because I was Pike fisherman for my life, and I did it with Ambassadeur 4000 - 6000's. For last 10 years I have been switching to Trout (and Perch) fisherman, and my Pike arsenal has been practically un-used. I bought 13Fishing A3 and Tatula 200 HD because I was switching to modern looking reels and bought couple of new pike rods as well ... But those are practically un-used. There wasn't then TWS 300 Tatula, and therefore I bought that 13 Fishing.
But Tatula 300 I don't have and I don't know that reel.

Darn. I was hoping Daiwa Scandinavia would let you look at their schematics for the Peorex 300. They wont let me even see them.jvelth74 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 12:39 pmThanks - it seems so that I have much spool options for my 200 HD :-D Reel I haven't used many times, because I was Pike fisherman for my life, and I did it with Ambassadeur 4000 - 6000's. That makes sense.LowRange wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:21 amI was going to get a Tatula 200 and use 20# Big Game on the deep spool and punch and flip with 65# braid on the shallow spool. A Tatula 200 spool full of mono or flouro weighs a ton and has awful casting performance with anything less than an ounce. Use the big spool for swimbaits and the shallow spool for pitching all on the same rod in the same outing. In the case of the Tatula 153 spool and 200 spool the 153 Magforce Z spool is for bombing frogs with braid and the 200 fixed inductor for big baits.mark poulson wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 10:52 amForgive what may be dumb question, but do you carry spare spools with different line sizes and types? I ask because I did that years ago, before braid with a fluoro leader became a thing.
This way there is no compromises and if I want to throw rats on 20# BG then go drop in a different spool with a more distance oriented braking profile to bomb frogs or punch with braid I can. This is even better if this is a kayak outing and a rod and reel can pull double duty as both a swimbait stick and punching stick.

I think there's no at all Schematics in Daiwa Scandinavia site...At least I haven't found those. Only place where I have found Schematics is .Plat...

The Ray's DIY for TD Zillion are back but in what looks like a honeycomb spool. I adore the old Ray's TD Zillion spool I have for pitching 3/8 oz senkos and 5/16 finesse jigs on my old Perfect Pitch.
New Ray's TD Zillion DIY spool
Amo TD Zillion fixed inductor spool
My old Ray's TD Zillion spool
I adore this thing. It shoots a Senko like a dart, long and with a flat trajectory on 16# flouro with the easiest of pitches.

Anyone getting their stuff from China? Ordered two handles from Ray's. Got a message from the seller that they are locked down due to covid and can't ship anything at the moment.

Well, I ordered the 36mm AMO fixed-inductor spool for my TDZ BBS. Will report back when it arrives, ETA of February 17th.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Oh nice! I've been eyeing one of those for a while now. Really interested to see what you think of it.

Chamelleon spool new design:
https://aijaa.com/JAWg60
They have re-designed inductor assembly. There's no ramp anymore in spool side. There's only pin in shaft. Inductor is only one sided. And and I have read that there is small recess in the middle of ramp. Obviously that's true, when looking picture. Some kind of 'soft lock' inductor in. That will prevent inductor launching in soft casts, like flipping. Actually that might be good invention!
Also spool is redesigned and all line types is now allowed. But Aliexpress spools are not anymore that cheap...

Hello, Friend!
This "new design" appeared on autumn 2021. I has this spool already, in my arsenal it replaced Roro with fixed inductor. I tried fishing with it one time, before winter come and ice covered rivers. But, i can say that a very good spool, universal for all type of baits. My favorite with it is hard lures: minnows, cranks and vibs. Casting very easily, comfort and far.

Did your spool arrive yet...? You really need to get on the water with it so I know whether I'm saving up to buy one or not...hoohoorjoo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 7:47 amWell, I ordered the 36mm AMO fixed-inductor spool for my TDZ BBS. Will report back when it arrives, ETA of February 17th.

I put it in a BBS. It reminds me of the ZPI M spool. It is crazy-fast. I have a hard whippy casting motion, which the spool doesnt like. Long casts can be made with a nice, smooth casting stroke. It pitches really well, with low trajectory and easy splashdown. I actually decided to sell the reel, so the spool has sold, as well. Overall, I do like the spool, though. I might regret it, but I really have other priorities at the moment.

How is the 34mm Amo BFS spool in the TD-Z? TD-Z magnets are kinda far away from the spool and cast more freely than other Daiwa platforms I have found. I'm a little worried the Amo might be too fast. Looking to toss fujin spiders and other tiny floating plastics on 10# braid. UL soild tip BFS rod.
