You could drill out the rivets and pick up a pair of the replacement knob shafts. I've done that on a couple of handles. Be sure to center punch the rivet really well. A drill press makes life a lot easier :big grin:

Which AMO spool is it that you're thinking of letting go...?

The purple zpi like fixed inductor for 34mm reels. Too fast in the old steez reels. Might be fine in stronger magnet platforms like the Zillion TW SV, new Zillion or Megabass IS. Even then probably only a target casting spool because its too wild to overhead cast with any effort i have found.

Love the Gomexus handle and knobs. These knobs are amazing. Super comfortable and very high grip. I got a 2nd set for my Z.

I have one. Plan to use it in my ryoga. Have not had time to use it yet, but it looks well made.

Can someone explain these aliexpress boost spool parts to me? Is it just a metal color part for the boost spool? It shows two springs. Are they included to modify the braking? Why are they selling metal color parts for the boost spool? Are they breaking?

It's likely just a blingy part to color match other accents on the reel, just for cool points.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Picked up the Kawa 34mm spool for 30bux after sale, which is the same as Ruke.

5g without bearing, 6g with.

Holds plenty of line for my power BFS. Initial impressions compared to AMO spool. Bearing is less noisy, feels more controlled and not as fast. Casted a KO Jackall Piku whatever, weighs about 1/8 castable, but not controlled. Rod doesn't load up as well, but not what intended to use the setup for.

Chugged OSP DoLive Shot and Flukes weightless pretty far.

Ran on 8lb Suffix Advance CoPoly for now, Steez Tw SV and Steez The Sensor rod.

Which Amo spool did you compare it to? The deep 34mm one that looks like a ZPI spool? If so, which color? I ask because those brake different depending on color.

Not that I doubt what you're saying about the braking profiles being different, but how in the world did you figure that out? I have the black AMO spool in an IS71 and and really happy with it, but now you've got me thinking...

I had two and the red one had a thicker inductor that was tapered compared to the thin inductor purple one. Also on the pic for the spools on ali it shows that the black one has a much thicker inductor than the rest in the group pic. Also Amo sells thin and thick versions of spools. Not sure why the ali ads didn't specify or why Amo made them by color. The red one is great in my SS SV103s and Steez LTD. The purple one was unusable.

Yeah, the AMO is red and looks like a ZPI.

That's crazy! I wonder why they did that.

I think I missed something: you're talking about the 34mm HLC spool with the adjustable depth, fixed inductor...?

No, the Amo spool. I have both and added my feedback and comparisons of both spools to that Ray's long cast thread.
