Nice! I am mulling options for the two remaining 201e models in my stable. Yes I was eyeballing the YY signature model for a MINUTE, and finally was blessed and picked up this one, and another one in black(on the way over from the Sonoda brothers) for the sister Scorpion that has been geared down to 5.5 and that my friend will be mated to the 7'6" XXH Valkyrie :big grin: The knobs on the YY are ridiculous, and an absolute joy to clutch(so much surface area to grab a hold of and crank away) as the clear rubber finish also makes it super "griptastic" 8-) Another couple of before pictures

Was able to get out for a brief time last night before the steady Breeze got to be a little more than it was worth to be on the water but I was able to throw the triple trout for most of the time then then threw the 8-inch STC that thing wore me out though holy cow I may have to forgo that bait the remainder of my season for now anyway:-k we will see it's a thick piece of plastic in any case.....details, let's see for starters water is flowing and the river is going the water seems to be clearing up just a tad and for sure the water level is down which is exposing the emerging weeds and boy what a crap ton of ecological activity I didn't get any action myself(who would've guessed, )although I thought I got bumped on the 8 in STC but I'm almost certain that was one of those elusive rockfish =P~ anyhow I wish I could have got pictures of all the Shad boils that we're going on around Butcher Jones and I'm sure elsewhere they were just going bananas from about Sundown so about 8:30 ish. Every time I switch my lighting they started jumping like crazy almost into my kayak it was pretty nuts, so definitely a bunch of activity so if you're throwing the right kind of presentation at the right time people should be boating quite a bit by now from my summation :-k Although I didn't get lucky last night it was super great to be out on the water fishing under the moonlight between the intermittent clouds. It was kind of spooky as it was that quiet after all the pleasure boaters got off the water only one decent pic from last night :laugh1:

Oh boy.....MB hit a grand salami with this 7'6" XXH Valkyrie 8-) Quick shots and as expected thankfully it seems like the power curve is right on par with my SBSD \:D/ big thanks to Brian and 3T again for hooking it up and puting me over the edge :laugh1:

Chiming in to show a quick picture of the sister cranking Scorpion(5.5 gears) getting love with the black Yugo Yamada, many thanks as per the usual to the Sonoda brothers over at JT =D> =D> =D> . I also added six arm star drags to them and some gold accents to round these two specimens out 8-)

Okay so no fish had some followers looked like little bucks but what an awesome day pretty much felt like I had the Butcher Jones point to myself my back was bugging me so I decided to do a bunch of shore fishing and it was totally amazing out unfortunately as stated I didn't connect but had a couple nice bucks find interest in the ABT Homicide Glide in 7 in which I got to say the Valkyrie is doing what I thought it would do with that bait make it super fun to fish. Love love that particular Glide bait really fun to fish Plus on a 5.5 geared reel it is really sweet. Little bit more water Clarity not much though water still stirred up and winds/Breeze coming from the southeast and more towards the south towards my end of my trip which was about two plus hours then I got to be a little bit too windy. Thanks is always TT for letting me share enjoy the pics.

Okay got out last night to close out my May with a goose egg. Spent about 4ish hours from about 8pm-12am. Had a blast at night, great weather and posted up on a familiar point to shore cast majority of the night as the winds were off and on from the south making shore casting more enjoyable. Spent about 2/3 of the time flinging the 6" STC on the 10/0 weighted beast with the SBSD. Banged the heck out of the area, nada. Flung the 7" Homicide glide on the the Valkyrie, what a superb rod. It loads so much more nicely than the SBSD :big grin: I had a great time launching the HG and slowly meandering it back. I can't say enough about that 7'6" XXH, has me thinking another :-k I look forward to fighting bucket with it. Sorry no pictures as it was dark and of course no specimens to make a worthy photo opportunity. This May was tough all around but for me the consistency of breezy days made it tough for me yaking. Thankfully my point was perfect for hiding me from the breeze before it got nice and quiet/still around 11ish last night. Thankfully hang ups avoided by simply shoving off when needed to meet and glide over top of snag to pull free and back to my hunting area of choice.... Super cool like a ninja 8-)

We've been on fire here in the basin area up around where I like to hunt for the buckets but I think Saggy has been unaffected :-k at least in regards to the way the smoke is billowing from the wildfires and I haven't been out lately on top of that as I've been pretty tired out with my other activities but in the meanwhile I did get this for my Curado to complete the circle for my Shimano family of 201e and like models, very pleased with the gold offering for the Curado 8-) as always thanks for letting me share :big grin:

Wow it has been way too long  Can we say expectations versus reality? A long summer for the most part, haven't been out in quite a while obviously as it's been quiet here  Anyway a number reasons for the lack of line wetting but life as we can all relate to can take away sometimes. Anyway all is good finally got out for a bit last night. Hot is all h*** still. Similar grind for me, threw the 7" Homicide glide on the 7'6" Valkyrie and the 7" spark shad on the SDSB The Homicide glide is such a rad glider! I have to reinforce the praise on the Valkyrie as well, Absolutely one of the best rods I've used personally 8-) Has to be one of the best loading smoothest casting rods!!! Water clarity is pretty good, not sure on water temps, vegetation is grown in a decent amount where I stalked last night. I am certain it is much thicker around different parts of Saggie. Thanks for letting me share as always TT! O and obviously I came away with a goose egg

OK so I went out and shore fished at my usual haunt a couple nights, snuck some chapel time on Sunday night and took this low lighter  Went out last night nothing but still fun to sling around the 8' telescoping Hyuga! I have been throwing the 6" speed shad butt naked on a 7/0 Gama EWG. I am really digging that set up!!! I believe if I keep at it with that set up I should build a hook up with some nice specimens in the vegetation

OK now for the extra special the latest iteration of the "Willie P" White Python from the famous C-40 Evo family arrived today 8-) Quick shot......more to come of course \:D/ As always thank you to Mr. GW and Brian Franks of the Triple T house for brokering the deal to send this coveted draft pick my way. After doing a quick tip test all I can say is good Lord this 2019 WP is going to be t*ts!!!
