I've been waiting 8 pages for Lando to land a fish on one of these gems. Maybe I missed it...

That would be ill advised. Fish or no fish, one of the best threads on TT.

I’ll back this statement. I thoroughly enjoy every installment, and you provide a great insight into what it takes to stay dedicated to big baits. I can see fish pictures all day long on other platforms, but this type of content is rarer and more interesting.

No worries I'm definitely dedicated almost to a fault but trying to maintain my inner Butch Brown and keep on keeping on :big grin:

what would really be key, almost mandatory is a boat I need a dang boat folks to shoot and Scoot more as being in a yak and shore fishing you definitely have to have more of a plan so to speak sucks when you have to operate on your own power especially on the big deep reservoirs but they're here I know people are catching them how I'm not sure I'm more focused on how I'm trying to catch them with bigger profiles try to compete with these swimbait underground folks  oh I need place to store and maintain a boat too..... I got some serious work to do

I do agree it would be nice if I could post some more specimens again I have a lot more work to do plus once these kids of mine get a little more autonomous that should help my opportunities quite a bit more too :-k

Calling all Native arizonans if you're looking for a back seater that likes to annoy the living hell out of you with big splashes because that's all I throw are bigger profiles holler my old ass rather stand up then sit in a yak all night or during the day once it is not surface of the sun hot :laugh1:

Stay tuned as I do have a really sweet old but new piece of gear coming my way relating to a sweet new beef stick coming to be a part of my stable 8-)

As always Mahalo for letting me share my maddness

My personal addiction seems to know no bounds :-k Big shot outs to Triple T! Jackson, Spanky, Mr. Franks and course Mr. GW plus all the behind the scenes characters housed over yonder. They are helping me through a nice update my swimbait arsenal and overall gear. For now I will touch on the Triton Mike's these are the latest I got a two 7"bull gills in the mail couple days ago courtesy of 3T! just dunked them in the newly-christened backyard in-ground pool this morning for a test run\:D/ I have the say absolutely hands down probably one of the top swimbait lines in any variation. I will continue to throw until I can't throw any longer I hope Mike's got a nice lineup of protégé (s)behind him to carry on the Legacy as it would be a damn shame if these type of baits were no longer available to us Anglers whenever we get the itch, need etc 8-) anyway such a nice beefy profile I honestly didn't know he offered them in this particular size  the biggest I ever went was the 6in bull Gill. As you can see I one laid out with a sinking 5" and 6" :laugh1: I really want to say thank you to mr. Wood for putting together the magic to get me a custom painted skunk bull rat here in Arizona for the people that fish at night know these little Bandits like to come out and line up the shore so why not go with what's local :-k course that's my logic again probably not the right type to have but none the less it is been a pleasure to throw since I got that one couple weeks ago as well. Side note of throwing some other rats to and this thing is bar none one of the better ones you're going to find course we all have our weird little niche in preferences I've tried some of the popular wood ones as well some that aren't even being made at this point but One thing I'd like to reiterate for those who aren't in the know these baits are about as bada** as you can come out of the package slow and undulating, jerk pause and burning them in no problems whatsoever nowacki rollover or funky cadences needed just works the way it shouldn't at any retrieve rate this bait I feel can do it all that's not a glider of course. I also ended up picking up a couple of bone colorway 6in 2 knockers such a nice variation to accompany the regular 6 in sinking(not as low resonating as I'd hoped but still a nice little tick to try to get the attention of those buckets who aren't normally paying attention to the silent versions). Again thanks to the boys and Folks at Triple T! I feel like I've spent enough time with these particular baits that I can honestly say I hope we don't lose the Legacy. More cool mail call so to speak stuff to come I got a nice little swimbaitunderground wallet that'll be nice to lighten the load when I'm throwing swimbaits on a regular again and I'll do a short little write-up on that too for those who were paying attention in the ultralight section I ended up picking up a coveted OG white python what a sick rod everyone knows all about that but I finally got to join the party also some other stuff I think might be coming down the pipeline but that's some of the newer things hopefully I'll get out as things are starting to cool off a bit cheers enjoy the rest of the weekend

Okay picked this 9" bait wrap up by Swimbait Underground awhile ago. I did it mainly to cut back on weight and to be a little more precise on what I was going to carry for each individual trip as I still mainly Shore and yak angle for the time being I'm trying to carry one of these thicker Play No style boxes gets a little cumbersome. Although I haven't seriously been out in quite some time I did do a couple short trips with and made a nice difference in making my load packing quite a bit lighter. All around I was actually quite surprised by the quality although this is my first swimbaitunderground product. Very well-designed in my opinion to give you quite a variety but still in a tight package 4 baits to choose from On Any Given trip I wouldn't hesitate to pack this on a boat trip as well as you can actually get quite a bit in it as you can see right now I have it tuned for the latest 2 versions of the Evo WPs with 2oz and below profiles. I had it set up for my Valkyrie World Expedition couple weeks ago and it packed the 7in bull gills and 8" bullshads among some other tasty choices. Quite a number of useful compartments although I wish the velcroed flapover compartments would have a little more reinforcements to avoid snagging hooks if you don't happen to have bonnets or any sort of protection on your hook tips. Although if you mind your sensibilities in a ranger hooks properly you really don't run into that problem of snagging or poking through long as you're not throwing your bag around to hardcore. I've also got another zippable Larger style wallet bag down the pipeline I'm pretty excited about as well I will share a little on that once that comes in. It is a bit spendy but I feel it's worth it since I'm very dedicated on the larger profile presentation so far is an outstanding wrap and I highly recommend it for anyone toting around swimbait style profile baits without going with a traditional bulkier box 8-) as usual thank you for letting me share :big grin:

Few pictures of yesterday evening's trip. No takers what else is new. Got to really work the Zillion TW HD. Loaded with 50lb vermillion PP and is mated to the 30th Anniversary WP. Slung the 7/0 belly weighted Gama and 6" speed shad for about a 3rd of the trip to get reacquainted to the bottom at Canyon Lake, thankfully full access still there \:D/ . We are still dealing with wildfires and associated damages. Anyway the Zillion HD is nuts!!!! Soooo smooth, powerful and almost fully loaded IMHO and out of the box is just rad!! I will highlight in an upcoming picture one of my favorite things about this spool on this particular platform is that there's a notch milled out to catch your knots depending on how you're attaching line to your spool which is super slick so no more tape for us braid users??? What an excellent little detail that my opinion shows some of the nicer details that Daiwa thinks about. This reel in particular pairs up very nice with this particular white python specimen and of course Very Sensitive as per the line choice. The last two thirds of the trip I slung a variety of treble hook baits no heavier than approximately 2.25oz, biggest was the 6" Bone bullknocker. I had a really good time slinging the bullshooter junior 130mm SS model! Course my timing wasn't the greatest as yesterday was Sunday in the lake was quite packed but quieted down nicely for me to enjoy the final two hours of my trip saw tons of Shad so I'm sure there is fish to be had if I were fishing other ways :P story of my life  saw a nice mule deer as well I believe......anyhow I believe I have another HD coming down the pipeline as well as the tatula 300 I'll get some notes and pictures up of that as well, I also received the a new swimbait underground large size which measures out to 10" zippable bait wallet I will also highlight. I will also discuss a very important part of my tune and that is the bait knocker 8-) Thanks as usual folks!

Triple Trout mail call :P Colorway additions yeah I have problems  and logic of course dictated I needed an 8" Bone representative and the 7" Southern Blue Herring that also came in  is just nasty 8-) Scott keep them pumping! Love the low key silver fleck in the Bone paint scheme, and you know feathers are coming soon :P Okay that was quite a purge for me today

Got the new Tatula 300HL 6.3 and the twin Zillion TW HD 7.3 today. Big thank you and shout out to the House of 3T! Gary and to all the folks over yonder 8-) they are all doing some serious work for me during this transition over to Daiwa reel platforms so thanks to all you cats over there for helping me get this accomplished a few pics one of the spool on the zillion to show the Milling work for the knot notch. The tatula first impressions are super high I am very much looking forward to getting her on the water I've gone back to The Well of the cxx and laced her up with 20lb. my first idea was to go 65 lb powerpro but I want to try mono again as I'm thinking a balam 245 maybe in order once the water is cleared up and for shallower structure weed line work possibilities definitely for Pike in Lake Mary up here \:D/ main duties should be 8" bull shads and 7" Bullgills for sure. The balance with this reel and Rod is super nice I love it because it's so short but powerful and can really launch Bates out I'm really excited about having the additional payload for line. I don't know how much for sure I got but with 20lb cxx that diameter is quite a bit larger but I was still managed to get a hell of a lot on there such as the curado 301 pretty similar from what the gentleman showed on here before when he broke his down. Did tatula definitely feel super solid and definitely powerful the handle the overall build is pretty rad 8-)

Okay as much as I'm on a quest for bigger species or specimens of species I should say I've been having fun on this journey as I've been doing this for close to two seasons dedicated almost solely now only have 15.5 to show for it that was probably the second trip I took so it's been awhile not catching fish of course but catching the big ones this way so I'm still happy to share all my learning with all of you folks who are getting into it or in to it it's really just absolutely been a joy for me and I'm super blessed to still be able to do it as I have quite a bit of back problems accumulating at this age even though I am not that ancient

Point being I love to hear the information as I feel there's not nearly enough especially when you get into the niche stuff such as when beating that also can be subjective but anyway here we go a little information on too nice very high-quality so far pieces of equipment

I bring you the swimbaitunderground actual measured 10" Large style zippable wallets. Oh boy I'm a big fan of these I love all the D clips and all the attachment points there's so many variety of ways you can attach supplements or tune what you're going to carry very low profile you can get big build crank down style wake baits or crankbaits.

As you can see by the handful of photos it is super nice although you're not going to get a lot of lures in 1 wallet you're going to have your precise what you're going to throw 4 hours what you should be doing anyway at least in my opinion sometimes I attend a want to throw everything in my Arsenal :big grin:

As you can see I've liked the previous wallet so much I ended up getting two of these large style zippable wallets as apparently these things sell out quick :-k ](*,)

Super stoked I was blessed to get a couple for sure and these will make my yakking and shoretrips much lighter and of course more precise and of course fun cuz they're damn cool they have like a little belt slip on them which is neat I can actually slip my hand through it and it's almost like a risk computer Predator Style

Thanks again for letting me share and break out some fun information on some new products at least for me and hopefully for some of you cats looking for some new ways to tote your gear and as you can see you can have quite a bit stowed away real neatly up to about 8 in or so
