Storm Arachi Glide discontinued?
Storm Arachi Glide discontinued?
Just saw that the Storm Arachi Glide has been added to the clearance section on TW. Not sure if that means it’s been discontinued or not, but that would be a super short lifecycle indeed.

That isn't surprising in the least. First of all you aren't going to lose many of them so anglers don't have to keep replacing them. Then you look at the bait itself, how many are sold north of the Mason Dixon Line?

It’s listed as a “new” item on the Storm website,
so I doubt it is being discontinued. The price
and limited market probably makes it a slow seller.

Well they got me to order two. Went from "man, the Oikawa Mesu is always backordered anyway" (and it's still listed as "out of stock" on the Storm product page) to "oh, TW put them in the Clearance section and they have plenty of Oikawa Mesu!"
Re: Storm Arachi Glide discontinued?
I got to try my order today (in the threadfin shad color) and these glides are awesome! Caught three 2 1/2 - 4lbs fish in an hour or so, and I think this is going to be my go-to glidebait going forward. Not talking about the actual fish-catching abilities, I figure I might have done as well on an S-Waver (I was on a good bite). But the Arashi Glide just feels better to me: it glides extremely well, it twitches and does 180s super consistently, and both hook hangers are on swivels to keep fish pinned. The thread thin shad color strikes a great balance between attracting fish but not looking super unnatural. Too bad there isn’t a 168 size, but I was catching “small” fish even on this 200 size.
Outdoor Pro Shop (Monster Fishing Tackle, see ad on top) is still selling these at a discount; at $24 I think they are a steal. Need a dedicated swimbait rod just as with the S-Waver 200: I’m using an 806 Champion Extreme and it works very well.

I caught 2 nice ones on mine today. Only thing they would bite, they did not want anything over $35 bucks today
