Need source to buy soft mesh netting not whole net

Post by bob K » Wed Mar 10, 2004 7:00 pm

I need to replace netting on my fly fishing net. The basket is about 15" long by 14 inches across. I have sent some queries to net companies like Broden but have not received a response. Does anyone know where I can get replacement, soft mesh, low impact, for catch and release in this size? And if you know the cost, great. Thanks Bobk :?:  :?:

Have you tried your local fly shop?
They can probably point you in the right direction.

Hi Bob I am a newbie also . I found the following link , but the price of the netting looks almost what a new net would cost .

Click the link and see what you think .

There's also Netcraft, has sold netmaking supplies and netting for many years, along with just about anything you could need.

Okay my opinion, go to walmart and buy a laundry bag. cut it to the spects you want or the fit and sew it on for a cheap replacement.

But you will not look professional but it does the trick and as long as the net it wet damage to fish should not be siginficiant if your using a soft non abrasion material as well as a flat bottom or slant bottom net.
