Fly Fishing The West Branch of the Delaware. 5/21-23/07

Just Got Back from doing some on the water research for the Swimbait Mafia North Jersey chapter.

The west branch was really low.. couldn't even float it. so we did the Main stem, we all got into fish over the 3 days.. Mix of Rainbows, Brook and Browns. .we had a great caddis hatch and some big march browns coming off the water... used 6X and 7X tippet with the real skinny water and easily spooked fish.. Great dry fly action when spotting trout feeding on the surface.. Did a bunch on Nymphing (with Stone fly) in the fast moving holes and rips... had the chance to try out the underwater capabilities of the new camera.. Also had a huge eagle fly down talons first into the water right next to me, missed what ever he was going for and then land in the tree above me.. it was an awesome sight.. just wish I had the camera ready for that dive..
