I don't think it's his accent. It's more his goofiness and that huge flavor saver (ie, mustache)...

I've probably used more tips from Aaron than any other fisherman out there. I don't really have any problem with how he talks, seems like a pretty cool guy. Add me to the Shaw haters list. His excited, whisper freak out routine just makes me cringe everytime I hear him do it.

Exactly, when he talks normal and is calm I love watching him and have watched a bunch of stuff on youtube but when hes on his show and hooks a fish and starts that high pitched "its a piiiiiiig!" its like nails running across a chalkboard to me :)

What annoys me more than Shaw's voice is his incessant product name plugging. I just think it's obvious and transparent and I imagine that it's supposed to be, to me that's much worst than his hamming it up. Ike screaming make me change the channel.

I agree with the OP, I can't take his delivery for any length of time. But then again, I don't have to because I don't follow tournament fishing. I used to though and I remember feeling that way about the dude back then. Grigsby is horrible too. At least Martens isn't trying to put on a show, it's just how he is. But these guys that play it up when the cameras are rolling are the worst.

Shaw is very "NASCAR" (able to drip brand names into any sentence) but that does pay the bills. I can tell you this, for what it's worth-- I spent 8 hours on the water with him about 5 years ago and he is a sincere, super nice guy. No "fake" there, and he has a true passion for fishing and people.

Oh man every show out there drops their own plugs for the sponsors, U get about 3 min of fishing and the rest is a promo for their Powerpole, cocoons, lowrance ,mercury, triton, chevy, nikes, hanes, and jack links.... its all pretty stupid ](*,) ...... Not trying to jack the thread...... Aaron still is the man !!!!

I am a bass fishing fan and I am an Aaron Martens fan. He is my second favorite bass fisherman of all time :big grin: Did I just say that? Sorry Aaron.
