I do, but mainly to keep the rods from getting too tangled up in the overstuffed rod boxes.

So I lied. I do use rod sleeves in my rod locker, but never on the deck while I'm fishing.

I always have rod sleeves on when going to and from the lake. I store my reels in TW reel covers in a plano case in the off season.

Always to both for storage and rod locker. no sleeves on deck.

I am very good about both, can't say always but I can easily say 90% of the time.

Yes

I use reel covers 90% of the time.
While in storage and on the deck if not being used.
Once i use it on the boat, i leave to cover off. Too much hassle to constantly take on and off.
I only use rod cover when the rods are in the rod locker. It helps to keep them untangled in close quarters.

I have a few hundred in reel covers. I put the cover back on before picking up the next rod. Learned that the hard way after getting a nice boat rash on a mint Chronarch 101A. I about cried. Seems like rod sleeves could become aggravating to put on and take off. Much more so than a reel cover. However, I am sure they are probably worth it. I recently bought my first reel sleeves. Will have to see how I like having them on a rod all the time when not in use. A sleeve for every rod is going to be expensive. Not as expensive as the rods were, tho.
