Wacky Rig Fly Line Thin Senko Hook

Post by DarkShadow » Tue May 18, 2021 3:19 pm

Guys,

If you're throwing a wacky rig thin Senko fly lined on 6 to 8 # on a spinning rod, what kind of hook do you guys like?

I prefer to have a weed guard on it since I'll fish areas that would probably require that.

Thanks!

I like the Decoy hooks for wacky rig. The have some very wide gaps if needed and good geometry and point to hook eye angles.

I haven't tried this one but it could be the ticket. Only question is wire size (finesse/HD?) if using #6. Worth a look.

I'm also a big Hyabusa fan and this one looks good.

I prefer a wacky hook where the point and eye are clearly on separate planes. Nearly parallel but certainly not pointing at the eye. This is the gap and gives a better hook-up.
