Using Tin to pour jig heads
Has anyone used tin to pour jig heads? Asking because I'm looking for a bigger jig head to match up to a bigger paddle tail swimbait with less weight. I fish shallower rivers for walleye, have caught several around the 10lb mark with 3in big hammer paddle tails. Curious to see if a bigger bait will produce larger fish.

99% Bass fishing site. Oh well, thought I'd try. Going to buy the 76 steez ags 21, pair it with a Luvias 20 2500 for this application with 18lb gliss. You bass guys are missing out on the insane punch those big eyes crack a paddle tail. Good fishing to all.

Use can melt solder down and use it
That's how I used to make a bigger but less weight flipping jigs and buzzbait years ago. It works really good.
Just must sure it does not have the flux in it

what was a rough percentage on weight difference?
Re: Using Tin to pour jig heads
There was a guy pouring tin jigheads in the early 90s but I can’t remember the name. The front line tie was a short barbed hook. He was giving them away in a tackle pack for the guys fishing the NJ Bass Federation Team Tournament. If I can find more info, I’ll post it.
Re: Using Tin to pour jig heads
Bassmaster Elite angler Bernie Schultz has talked about this before- he uses tin jig heads for smallmouth and in some saltwater as it keeps the baits higher in the water column.
