Gary how is the 79H for pitching/flipping jigs and plastics? i find myself wanting one of each of the 21 steez rods ](*,)

I can't wait for my BCII to arrive so i can compare it to the original, which is my favorite rod to date.

I just left a pond, i took the 79 with a 3/8oz and a creature bait and thought it was perfect. I previously tried a 5/16oz with a 6.5 stickbait and i didnt feel like that was enough weight for the rod

its also a dandy 1oz dark sleeper rod, and handles a magdraft freestyle with ease, really a neat rod that i am finding alot of uses for.
but with 3/8oz and up its a very fine rod to pitch or fish soft plastics on.

the bc2 is really nice, i fished them both today the new and old, so far i like the light weight of the new and the cork

the 69mh is also alot of fun to fish

yeah i can see why you might want them all

I absolutely understand wanting them all

If you like the 7'9" length for jigs and plastics, it's great. It has a deeper flex to the blank, closer to a moderate fast than a true fast, but is very sensitive and has plenty of power. Like Benji wrote, it's an excellent 3/4 and 1 oz Dark Sleeper rod, and also an outstanding off shore football jig/carolina rig rod, handles a big worm in deep water or heavier cover, and I've even thrown a bunch of smaller glide/swim baits. That 1 oz Megabass I-Jack is a blast on that rod for example. I normally grab the 72H Power Pitch for closer quarters pitching duties as I prefer that length personally.

Thanks Gary and Benjie. That really paints a clear picture of what to expect from the 79H.

Wanting them all is a real problem…but I know a solve for it 😂

babates3, how's the action/sensitivity on the new one compared to the old?

I haven’t fished it enough to comment on sensitivity and how they compare. I need a lot more time to give a decent review.

Action and power are similar see back a few posts where I put them on a deflection chart to compare and commented on them based off initial impression

Here’s a link https://flic.kr/p/2m6kG1W

Definitely a different blank. The more time I get on them the more I like them.

Soon I hope  The level of uncertainty with regard to shipments arriving, clearing customs, and moving through distribution is high and therefore so is accurate predicting of an ETA. It shouldn't be a long wait though.

I spent the weekend with the 72H Power Pitch, the 72M Moving Bait Versatile, the 73MH Utility Player, the 69M Universal Light, and the 69MH Target Sniper. These are a lot of fun to fish and so nicely versatile...

Check out the 71 Medium Utility Spin

Handle length is nearly identical to the orginal 76mml

3.6oz in weight

Balance is on point with an exist

Floats in your hand. The cork is a huge improvement on the spinning models.

ImageUntitled by , on Flickr

Reminds me a lot of the 76mml but with a stiffer tip.

I use my spinning rods more for inshore fishing and while the 76 is a superb sea trout rod I always wanted more power for redfish to drive hooks home.

Super excited about this one

Guide train looks to be improved and has a Fuji KR Concept feel to it
