Dobyns. Very cost effective for me.

And the rods ain't that half bad either.

Megabass makes some nice rods. My wallet isn't a big fan of them though

I've used the following rods, and I still don't know what my favorite company is. Always looking for something better.

Lately, I've been using mostly Daiwa, Ark, Edge and Abu Garcia. Abu rods have improved quite a bit in the last 12 years or so. My all time favorite topwater (which is my main thing) rod has been Daiwa from the 90s. I have three of the same rod. I've used Dobyns for 15 years as one of my main rods, but I haven't used them for 1yr. I bought an Ark rod a few months ago. It was cheap, like $150, but I like it. That's the only Ark rod I own, but I think I will buy some more. I've owned only one Quantum rod, and it was a medium light from around 2008, used it for BFS. I liked it, but the tip broke, while fishing last year. Obviously, I can't find it anymore. Only All Star rod I've owned is a Zell Roland signature topwater rod from the 90s, and I still use it every once in a while. It's a good rod, but the Daiwa topwater rod from the 90 is better for me. I also bought an Impulse Zell Roland topwater rod last year. It's good, but a little stiffer and heavier than the All Star Zell rod from the 90s. I have a Daiwa Steez topwater rod from about 18 years ago. It's a good rod, and I still use it, but it's a little too soft and too moderate action for my taste. When I hooked an 8 pounder with the rod, I had hard time controlling the fish. The Daiwa topwater rod from the 90s didn't have the issue. I've caught a few over 10lbs on it.

So, I guess it doesn't really matter which company made rods. They change over the years. I just have to find something I like. That said, I've owned more Daiwa and Dobyns rods than any other companies.
