I have an 852C, 873, 893, 894, and 822DSR. It really depends on the day I guess as they are all great bottom contact rods. The 852C can also be used for some treble hook baits. If I had a gun to my head and could only have one, I would go with the 873. The fast action vs the xfast actions of the 893 and 894 make it a little more versatile.

I have the 852c, 853c, 854c, and 873crr. If I had to pick one it would be the 873 since it can do what the 853 and 854 does and the 852 would be a close second. Soon at the new line comes out I plan on adding a 872s to the mix.

901s love 7 1/2 ft spinning rods. Use 901 for bass, crappie, and bream.
