Wow!! Nice rod. Production or custom?
Re: Phenix at ICast
Somewhere in between. A little "Skunkworks" Phenix here in AU did as a reference design.Trout Assassin wrote:Wow!! Nice rod. Production or custom?
Now used as basis for low volumes and reference for rod builders.
Along with standard RDA & FEA measurements we worked out new measurement techs for the dynamic (ie) casting properties of a rod.
Had great fun doing it and happy it's being adopted.

It's a ton of fun matching reels up to all these different sticks. I recently ordered a 2015 X-fast Z Bone, and that will get a Steez 100HLA. The NRX 893 has been paired with a Metanium DC and the 802 has a PX68L. The Phase III Bearingdown has a TD Ito.JWR075 wrote:I think those willing to pay win because I think they are all outstanding rods.Chode wrote:same here. wondering who will reign supreme with the nrx, megabass, k2, archangel, and zboneGone Phishin wrote:Any new news?
I eventually want the 7'2" Archangel, and that may get a Conquest 101. The K2 may have to wait until next year...maybe a Steez SV for that one.
