What's your most beautiful rod

Post by Ethanleow » Sat Jul 05, 2014 1:03 pm

I purchased my Megabass jade python and white python purely base on the beauty of the rod, an art piece to me. I love them a lot but still uses my NRX and IMX for my daily fishing. I guess it's just an pure obsession to own a beautifully crafted rod in your display wrack.

What's your most beautiful or one that you've been longing to own?

Either my Expride or Orochi XX. Haven't jumped into the exotic Megabass yet.

The nicest to look at is my MB Orochi X4 Destruction, 2nd the Shimano Expride is a great looking rod also, I still find my NRX's to be beauty's, for sheer power, weight, action and sensitivity the NRX is still the best rod I've felt/fished…hands down…started with the 854C, then the 873C, 852S, 802S, 895C..and I just keep finding more perfection in different length's and actions…Hope they continue to extend the lineup.

Ah yes. Beautiful rod. I owned one for about a month but I decided I can't have shelf queens sitting around. That rod was so unbelievably lightweight and well built. It was pretty much a work of art.

The pagani graphite would be one of my choice if the handle were longer. It's simply too short for my liking. I prefer the Air Bamboo series.

What a question. I have owned some really beautiful rods over the years. How can I pick just one? I can't. I would say it is a tie between the Abu Regista and Abu Yabai. I like rods with a lot of bling, and they had it. A lot of rods have some of their features now, but 7 years ago they were ahead of their time. I don't think the high end Abu's ever got enough credit.
